(Pictures coming soon) In February 2006, Tim moved interstate for a job with a major international airline. He was part of an internal team responsible for training Aircrew in Security and on-board Defensive Tactics. At the same time, we decided to begin our first expansion in to a very difficult market: Sydney. KMTA employed Duncan to run the teaching of our Brisbane classes while Tim moved to and started up a small Krav Maga club in the Sydney Parramatta area in April. From that time, we officially became the first Krav Maga school in Australia to run regular classes in two states! At the end of 2006, Tim travelled to Cairns for work. A local Karate Club had been discussing the possibility of doing some training with him for some time. Tim dropped by the club one night and held a small demonstration for their main instructors, one of which was visiting from interstate. As a result of this short demo, a few weeks later KMTA proudly held the first ever Krav Maga workshop in Tasmania! |
