Tim - Director and Chief Instructor IKMF - Senior Instructor - Expert Level 1 * Military, Law Enforcement, and Civilian Hardstyle Kettlebell Certfied (HKC) Instructor Tim is the Director and head instructor for the Krav Maga Training Academy. He has been training in Krav Maga since it first started in Australia, and is in his 8th year as a Krav Maga instructor.
Tim is one of only a few people in Australia who received certifications by the IKMF as an instructor in both the restricted Law Enforcement and Military components of Krav Maga. He also currently works in both the military and law enforcement sectors. Tim has trained in a number of countries in Europe, Asia, and in Israel at IKMF HQ in Netanya, with the head instructors of Krav Maga. He is currently one of the most active Krav Maga instructors in Australia, running regular classes and private sessions five days a week in Brisbane, corporate sessions, and regular workshops in both Brisbane and Sydney. In November 2009 Tim was graded by head of the IKMF, and became the youngest in Australia to achieve the rank of "Expert Level 1." He is the the first in Australia to reach E1 that started off as a beginner Krav Maga student. There are no other Expert Levels in QLD, and only 5 others in Australia. In March 2010, Tim joined the first generation of people in Australia on the Hardstyle Kettlebell Certified (HKC) Instructor course, held at Dragondoor in Melbourne. HKC's are members of the elite Pavel Tsatsouline kettlebell training system. Since then, Tim has been very involved in assisting on HKC courses held, including hosting the second generation course held at KMTA in Brisbane. Tim is the most reveiwed HKC Instructor in Australia on the Dragondoor website, running personal training and special group-oriented short courses. |
Pete - Krav Maga Instructor IKMF Civilian Instructor Pete started training in Krav Maga in 2007 at KMTA. Since then, under Tim's guidance, his dedication to training brought him to be one of the highest ranked students at KMTA. In April of 2011, he achieved his Civilian Instructor certification under tuition from the head instructors of Krav Maga from Israel.
Pete is also experienced in other systems such as Boxing, and is graded to a high level in Taekwondo. Outside of Krav Maga, Pete’s other passions are fitness, nutrition and bodybuilding - having made the Australian team for Natural Olympia Titles in 2009. Pete believes in the physical & mental advantages that training in Krav Maga provides and enjoys passing on his knowledge through example to all new & experienced practitioners. We are proud to have Pete as part of the KMTA Instructional Team, running regular classes and PT sessions every week. We look forward to a lot of new and exciting possibilities! |
Iman - Krav Maga Instructor IKMF Civilian Instructor KMTA Administration Assistant Iman began training in Krav Maga Feb 2009 with KMTA, gradually climbing through the ranks as a student. As a senior student in 2010 he moved in to an administration role within KMTA while continuing his training. In April 2011 he received his Civilian Instructor certification, and is running regular classes every week, also along with numerous personal training sessions.
Aside from Krav Maga, Iman graduated from university in 2010 with a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice. In 2011 he completed his Masters of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Iman also actively participates in Futsal on a regular basis, and has completed all Kettlebell training courses run at KMTA. Though unconfirmed, it also appears likely that Iman has the prestige of being the world’s first Iranian Krav Maga instructor! Well done Iman!
