KMTA Instructors - Kathrin

Civilian Instructor - Krav Maga Training Academy
Qualifications: Civilian; Kids Krav Maga; Combat Fighting; Women's Instructor; Adaptive (People with Disabilities) Instructor
Rank: Expert Level 2

Kathrin started training in Krav Maga in 2012 with KMTA and quickly fell in love with the system for its practicality and efficiency. She completed the Civilian Instructor Course in 2015; the Kids Instructor and Combat Fighting Instructors Courses in 2016; and the Women’s Instructor Course in 2017, all under the tutelage of the Global Instructor Team (GIT) from Israel. Kathrin is also the first female Expert ranked Krav Maga instructor in Australia!

Kathrin is committed to continually updating her skills and knowledge, and has trained internationally in Germany, the Netherlands and Israel. The next goals on the horizon are to complete the Adaptive Instructor Course, and actively working towards getting more women involved in regular Krav Maga training.

Prior to discovering Krav Maga she trained in Koshinkan Karate for five years, earning her First Dan black belt. Not content with just learning about the 'fight' response, she also wanted to improve her proficiency in 'flight' and participated in the Brisbane parkour scene for two years.

Outside of Krav Maga Kathrin freelances as an advertising creative.

Kathrin regularly teaches evening classes at Enoggera and is available for personal training sessions and corporate workshops as her schedule permits.
